Capsule Dispenser Machine
The automatic capsule dispensing machine with user-friendly operation and high-precision dosing ability, designed for the production of oral Iodine-131 capsule
This device is semi-automatic, requiring manual preparation of capsules with the corresponding powder. The dispensing of Iodine-131 for each capsule is automatic, and the device offers a volumetric accuracy of approximately 0.037 microliters for a volume range of 1 to 100 microliters. It features a compartment for a bulk Iodine-131 vial, a washing vial, a cassette with ten capsules, and a sensor to detect the presence of capsules.
The device is suitable for use in the production of medicines. Decontamination and cleaning are very straightforward, thanks to its stainless-steel body, minimal grooves, and absence of screws on the front. The cassette can be easily removed, allowing convenient washing of the lower part of the device.
Additionally, due to the use of stainless-steel parts, as well as protected and enclosed ball bearings and bushings, the device generates minimal particle contamination during operation.
The software and user interface are designed to be user-friendly while providing extensive functionality and information. This software enhances production speed and improves the quality and efficiency of the products. For instance, it allows users to enter and edit different values for each capsule at every stage—before, during, and after production.
The device offers greater accuracy compared to previous model and conventional dispensers. In the worst-case scenario, the total theoretical error in the movement of the syringe pump axis is 0.022 mm. Assuming the syringe operates ideally, this error corresponds to approximately 0.037 μl for a 100 μl syringe. However, it’s important to note that factors such as the calibration error of the -dose calibrator, environmental dose variations, and the specific activity measurement errors prevent a precise evaluation of the device’s accuracy in practical use.
This device dispenses activity based on volume, with a range from 5 mCi to 200 mCi, and is calibrated 1-6 days after production.
