Tc-99m-Trodat radiopharmaceutical

A report on how to perform Process imaging in Tc-99m-Trodat radiopharmaceutical imaging

Since most nuclear medicine procedures are image-centric by nature, knowledge of the basics of image processing seems useful. In this report prepared about one of our most important and widely used radiopharmaceutical kits (Pars-Trodat), a complete description of Parkinson’s disease, how this radiopharmaceutical kit works in its diagnosis and appropriate ways of image processing are presented. Performing image processing in the SPECT/CT device will help to improve the quality of the output images and, as a result, better diagnosis of the disease.
Overall, image processing allows the user to extract useful physiological and functional parameters from nuclear medicine procedures. Parameters that would otherwise be difficult, if not impossible, to measure.
