Ga-68 DOTATATE

Ga-68-DOTATATE radiopharmaceutical is used to diagnose neuroendocrine tumors. Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) are rare tumors originating from nerve cells and endocrine glands. Neuroendocrine tumors might develop anywhere in the body, including the stomach, intestines, pancreas, or lungs. Being gamma emitter due to presence of the gallium-68 radioisotope, it can be used for detection of neuroendocrine tumors by positron emission tomography.
